A super majority is needed for a rule to pass. if a super majority is not reachedon one of these options there will be a run off between the highest vote getting option and keep it the same.
Option 1: Each year you may buy out one player for one years salary pnly. This buyout must happen before May 1st. If you buy out a player like thids you must record the player with the title "Buyout Exception"
Option 2: Each year between March 1st and June 1st you may buy out one player and spread the the buy out cost over two years. The buy out cost is to be divided evenly. In the case of the money can not be divided evenly the first season of the buyout costs $1 more than the second season. the buyout will be recorded on the roster as follows
Chad samuels has a $3 contract for $3 years
Chad Samuels Split Buyout 2010 $5 Chad Samuels Split Buyout 2011 $4
When the salary cap is reset only the buyout cost for the previous year is removed.

Option One is jsut simple ...
Option Two simulates the NFL a little more.
Of course if you manage your team well neither is nessessary

Players like Larry Johnson who looked to be money 3 years ago are nothing now. The turnover in the NFL is huge and with contracts up to 5 years there are still huge penalties for roster mismanagement BUT option 1 gives an escape valve ( ie also helping inevitable ownership turnover) from having the roster potentially damaged for 5 years into the future with no chance Of redress.

a super majority can not be reached for this rule change if you want one of the options It is time to try and convice the no voters why it should be changed.

The vote now is 4-3 in favor of option 1 the final three voters would need to vote for option 1 forit to pass.
Destryers, Otawa and myself need to vote for it in order to pass.
Also, just so everyone knows I normally wait for the end of voting to vote since I am involved in the rule change process. I like to give the rest of the league every chance to make the decisionand not me. so if the vote needs me to vote I will do so then.

well still no vote from destroyers with two votes needing to pass. Now would be a good time anyone who is for option one to try and pursuade those who are not for it to come over thier side.

without knowing how you voted I it is difficult to make a numerical switch because you vote could have been yes above and that would give you two yeses. and that would not be fair.
One thing you can do is place a post here why people should vote yes and maybe try to change someone's mind.
