I wanted to let everyone know that my wife and Zombies owner Vickie has been diognosed with lymphoma. The will be doing a biopsy next Thursday to confirm the diognosis.
Vickie also asks that that you keep her in your prayers at this difficult time.

Just an update. Vickie's biopsy went well. Test results should be in in a few days. However it looks like she will be in the hospital for a few more weeks in a Actute PT area because her walking and left arm use is real bad right now.
I will talk to her about FA and her roster tommorow and you might see me bid on a player or two for her.

I received this update from Chad yesterday on facebook: Things have been heating up with Vickie within the last week. It is unfortunate to admit. The cancer is going to win. The average glioblastoma case like my wife has normally has an average life span of 22 months and 5% live longer than 5 years. We are currently in slow the cancer down mode so the 22 months looks less and less likely. Since I have written last Vickie can no longer stand with support. She is bed ridden and within the past week she has begun to fight me and my mother in law when it is time to take her medicine and she is resisting eating as well. She sleeps almost all the time and barely talks. Usually it is in one word sentences. The medical oncologist is going to call me tommorow as it is not safe for my wife to travel to her chemotherapy appointment on Thursday. I think the care will be shifting again to more of keeping her comfortable more than anything else. I will not know sure until I talk to the doctor though. he kids are beginning to feel the stress if the situation. It is really tough managing it in the home.
as always please pray for my family they need emotional strength and toughness right now. I dont know how to begin to ask how to pray for my wife. I would love for her to be well and whole again but it looks more and more that is not the plans God has. I guess ask God to work in this situation so that things will work out for the best. Thank you all for everything in this situation. I really don't have anything intelligent to add to this news except my sympathy for Chad and Vickie and their family.

The latest fb update from Chad, late Sunday night:
What a Weekend. Friday we signed on to in home hospice for Vickie. For those who do not know Hospiceis where they will stop teating the cause of your illness and focus on treating the symptoms and making you comfortable. It was there I was told my wife would probably live about 2-3 weeks.
That assessment was wrong. This morning we had a hospice nurse come in. She evaluated Vickie and told me she believes that my wife will live just a couple more days from the signs we are seeing. So with this We sent Vickie via ambulance to a hospice home. The she will get better care than we can offer at home. It is a beautiful environment it is set up like an apartment. It had 24 hour visiting hours for family. She is in good hands.
I had to break the news to my children. They are handling it well but I do see signs of stress.
we will see what tommorow brings...

I am presuming from the condolences being left on Chad's fb page that Vickie died this afternoon. I will miss her and my rivalry with the Zombies.
