I am making good on my threat to leave ESPN and set us up on MyFantasyLeague.com. You should have received an email I sent from that site inviting you to change your password and log in. The league can be found at: www5.myfantasyleague.com/2012/home/68717I still have to see if they can handle our playoff system - I may have to set up the playoff schedules manually - and still need to load the rosters, which is when I plan to check them over. Should have it all done before the draft begins, Note to new members: the draft and all other transactions take place on this message board. Charles and I will load rookies after the draft. Once you've made a FA signing or buyout you can update your roster on the site - which is important because the site does handle scoring the games so rosters need to be up to date. You also have the option of conducting trades on the MFL site. Once you have players there of course.

I have uploaded the rosters. Sorry for the email barrage while I sorted it out. At least know you know we have a real live 'taxi squad' and a few other site improvements. Such as, I only have to enter the rosters once ever, not once a year, and it is already done. As always please check them over and make sure you are happy. Of course this cannot be done without CONTROVERSY. MyFantasyLeague is a whole lot more tight (or imho, accurate) about player positions, especially IDPs. The upshot is pretty much every one of us has players who counted as DEs on ESPN that are now LBs on MFL. One has a CB who is really a S. I am open to any discussion about what to do about this as I myself had forgotten about this difference and imagine it may be a surprise to some of you. It would certainly affect draft strategy. Do note that MFL frequently monitors and updates position changes throughout the offseason, based on Rotoworld's depth charts, which are pretty up to the minute. While I personally would be fine with just rolling with it, given that it is 4 days before a draft where suddenly some of us need more DLs, I solicit your comments and suggestions.

If we are moving to MFL, isn't is easier to track rosters and salaries on it as well? It would remove much of the possible human error in our current set up. Also, the draft would likely be simplified if we used MFL to do the draft.
I haven't looked at MFL yet and I don't remember my roster, so I'm not sure if I'm effected. Any players changed positions of ESPN to MFL would have happened on ESPN with in the next year. ESPN is just behind MFL in their posiiton tracking and change players to the position they played the most snaps in the previous year. ESPN would have made the change as well with in the next year. ESPN looks at last year for their positions and MFL looks at the current set up on rotoworld's depth charts.

1. The Terrell Suggs owner is suddenly less worried about this today. 2. IIRC you're the one who has one extra S and one less CB today. 3. Yes MFL says it can track contract info and I did enable that option but I have not tried it out yet. I'm willing to do the data entry which should probably take between another 1-2 hours. It would make our commish lives much easier too, esp. Charles since he's usually the one who audits the rosters. 4. We could set up the draft there. However with it starting in less than a week I am resistant to changing anything else between now and then if I can possibly avoid it. After a year of owners being familiar with the site then I'd prefer we use it for as many functions as possible. OTOH having it all on this board is an incredibly valuable backup. As I learned when I unwittingly erased all the data from the ESPN site.

I think I had the CB to safety or there was two.
Malcom Jenkins went from CB to S in the switch... leaving me no CB's and too many safety's.

This is my concern. People built their teams relying on how espn does things. I'm not concerned about the correction but the timing of it - right between FA resigning and the draft. Granted I am less affected by this because stability at the position is something I value in IDPs. I want guys who will remain productive at the same position year after year despite all the defensive scheme changes that happen either by having new coaches or being on a new team.
I have a solution or two in mind but would like to hear from others before deciding it is necessary to propose any of them.

My only problem is that I wouldn't have resigned T. Hali as a LB. And I could really use the $2

We are in enough leagues together, I can pay your way in another league.... by using paypal of course ;D. There is no fee if you use a bank account to send the money instead of the credit card. So, you can use Paypal to get funds and not pay Paypal fee's. I have no goats to trade, so that is likely the only option.

I submitted a ticket that was really a feature request for a full message board, explaining our situtation, so we can transfer everything over to MFL next year. Kevin replied: "Thanks for the suggestion - something we'll definitely consider for a future site enhancement!"

They are pretty good at making improvements.
I have been driven crazy for years with the player watch section. When the league was turned over for the new year, the player watch section was wiped clean. I sent a demanding rant... I mean I sent a suggestion to them to allow that info to transfer when the league updated and they did it for the next year. Now I have to find a new thing to complain about.
Why couldn't we just use the message board on the site? A ton of things we post on here aren't done anymore once it's all on one site. Bidding on free agent players will be done with actual bids on MFL for everyone to see, player buy outs would be done on MFL and in the transaction areas, signing players would be obvious in the transactions area, draft would occur on MFL, and MFL would keep track of the salary cap and contract years. The rules can be put in the rule section or just put a link there to this board. You won't have to post a bid on a free agent on a message board, because you just make the bid on MFL.
The only think left that I can think of is taunting and suggestions, which is the same as every other league that isn't a salary cap league and operated on MFL. Is there something I'm missing that requires more then what MFL offers right now? Granted, more options are always better and we could likely find reasons to use any additional options MFL would add, but are those options needed to operate the league?
