2 more issues mentioned on the message board at MFL: 1) Tiebreakers: It has been suggested that Total Points is a better 1st tiebreaker than head to head record. The current rule is: If teams are tied in record the tie breaker will be.
1) Head to head record of all teams with that record. 2) Points Scored 3) Points Allowed Thoughts? 2) Also it was suggested, though less mildly, that maybe we want to include TE as a Flex option. Again, your thoughts?

My thoughts for the TE added to the Flex, I think that wold be fine as suggested or as an additional flex option of TE/WR and would agree that this should be a suggested change for next year.
My thoughts on the waiver priority change, as this has no impact until playoff time, this could be implemented this year.

I think head to head should always be the first tie breaker. A team shouldn't be above me that I beat twice, but they just scored more points over the year. Show up and beat your opponents. Otherwise, you are putting more enphaiss on points scored then win/loss. However, win/loss is the most important thing every week. I think the third tie breaker should be division record.

Actually, I think head to head should be the first. The second should be division record. The third should be points scored. Win/lose is more important then points scored, so division win/loss should be more important then how many points you scored.

since I was in the initial wiriting of the rules I must admit I like it the way it is. Tie breakers was chosen because in a perfect world it encourages people t play to the end and not tank at least that was the theory if a team builds up too big of a points for lead teams will take less interest

Head to head makes sense to me as #1 tiebreaker. I'm not overly fussed but for conversation my preferred tiebraker on MFL is the All-Play record because it rewards consistency and the luck of matchups on any given week (I.e. if you're second highest scorer in a week but lose by being unlucky and playing the top team then you get credit for it in the All-Play measure).

Just as a clarification out of my own curiostiy, because I'm not sure we'd ever get by total points scored. However, the third tie breaker is points allowed. The team with more or less points against gets the nod to go forward?

1) Any more thoughts on adding TE to the flex? 2) Another league I run is having a big controversy now over tiebreakers with 3 7-7 teams tied for the last playoff spot. There I am going to propose we replace our vaguely worded tiebreakers with the actual ones used by the NFL: www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures

I am in support of the TE change. Just change 1 TE to 1-2 TE. That easy. Then that flex spot can be any of the three instead of only rb/wr.

I'm also ok with switching to the NFL tie breaker... that makes sense.

Lets also remember that tie games suck. I'm still in favor of both teams getting a loss since neither was good enough to win, but I would be in support of anything that stops tie games as well. Please stop the tie games.

Polls are going up for both proposals: 1) change tiebreakers to the NFL system, and 2) adding TE to the flex.

Please stop the tie games. I am really in favor of adjusting the scoring to minimize the opportunity for ties, I know I suggested this before, going to .1 pts scoring, this will not eliminate ties but it does make it a rarity and I didn't mention this before but we score tackles at 1.5 pt and assists at .8 and score return yardage to the tenth of a point but we have scoring system that rounds off to the whole point, seems like we should allow them to be added as they are scored.

Can we have a vote on a fix to stop tie games?
