1. Kansas City - OT Luke Joeckel - All attempts at a smokescreen are lame and pointless. All offseason moves point to taking Joeckel here and moving Brandon Albert for a 2nd rounder.
2. Jacksonville - QB Geno Smith - The fact that they have done nothing to create competition at QB this offseason must mean they are planning to do it via the draft.
3. Miami (trade) - OT Eric Fisher - Miami has the picks to trade up and the need for a top OL. Meanwhile Oakland is desperate for picks to rebuild.
4. Philadelphia - DT Sharrif Floyd - There are 3 top DT options this year but I think Floyd is the best fit for the Eagles.
5. Detroit - OT Lane Johnson - The Lions have lost too much OL talent in free agency and while other options may be enticing Johnson is the last of the clear cut LTs in this draft.
6. Cleveland - DE Ziggy Ansah - Because someone is gonna just fall in love with this guy.
7. Arizona - OG Chance Warmack - Time to freak out with Lane Johnson already gone at 5. Mostly I want to see an OL run at the top so either Sheldon Richardson or Star Lotulelei fall to mah Panthers.
8. Buffalo - WR Cordarelle Patterson - The owner has already made it clear this pick will either be QB or WR.
9. NY Jets - LB Dion Jordan - Because Jordan will be a bust and the Jets are stoopid.
10. Dallas (trade) - S Kenny Vaccaro - Other NFL owners have had long enough to study the insanity of Jerry Jones. I'm sure someone will convince him he needs to trade up for another spectacular bust.

I'm sure this will change again before Thursday:
trades: NYJ gets #13 from TB for D. Revis KC gets #54 from Miami for B. Albert STL gets #12 from Miami for #16 and rd3#16 SF gets #15 from NO for #31 and #34
1 Kansas City – OT Luke Joeckel – Let's stop pretending. Everybody knows this.
2 Jacksonville – DE Ezekiel Ansah – Dion Jordan is popular here but I think they'll like Ansah's measurables and upside better.
3 Oakland – DT Sharrif Floyd – Of the top 3 DTs, Floyd remains the best fit.
4 Philadelphia – DT Star Lotulelei – If they are smart, new coaches build from the inside out. They need a real NT for their switch to the 3-4.
5 Detroit – OT Eric Fisher – I can't see the Lions targeting any other position here.
6 Cleveland – LB Dion Jordan – Many expect a trade here but if the Browns are looking at either Jordan or Ansah here, they won't want to move.
7 Arizona – OT Lane Johnson – Indeed, the whole reason I don't project trades until later is because in each case I predict the teams will like who they can get now more than who they might be able to get later.
8 Buffalo – QB Geno Smith – The Bills are definitely going QB or WR here.
9 New York Jets – LB Barkevious Mingo – Best name in a draft full of awesomely strange names.
10 Tennessee – G Jonathan Cooper – At this point everybody's thinking about something other than CB. At least considering there apparently are no elite CBs in this draft.
11 San Diego – OT D.J. Fluker – Again, I think a new regime means a lineman is the first pick.
12 St. Louis (trade) – WR Tavon Austin – Eventually someone will lose patience and jump up for Austin. I picked the Rams because it would be a lot more affordable for them.
13 New York Jets (trade) – G Chance Warmack – The Jets are still committed to giving Mark Sanchez every excuse.
14 Carolina – DT Sheldon Richardson – Please, from my lips to God's ears.
15 San Francisco (trade) – S Matt Elam – If the 49ers make the move everyone expects, they know they have to get past Dallas and Cincinnati to get their top rated safety.
16 Miami (trade) – CB Dee Milliner – I guess we can allow Jeff Ireland to look smart just for one day.
17 Pittsburgh – LB Jarvis Jones – A very popular pick among the mocks. Jones' slide still surprises me but I don't see this changing unless a team wanting an OLB rates Jones higher than Jordan or Ansah.
18 Dallas – S Kenny Vaccaro – Because Vaccaro is a punk and the Cowboys stink.
19 New York Giants – DE Bjoern Werner – The Giants are the most predictable team in the draft.
20 Chicago – LB Arthur Brown – In replacing Brian Urlacher, I think the Bears will devalue the prospects with character issues.
21 Cincinnati – LB Alec Ogletree – On the other hand, we all know about the Bengals.
22 St. Louis – S Eric Reid – If I were running the Rams, I might use both 1st round picks on safties.
23 Minnesota – WR Cordarrelle Patterson – Patterson will bust and then maybe people will start figuring out the Vikings front office and coaching staff has no idea what they are doing.
24 Indianapolis – DT Sylvester Williams – Toughest pick for me. Have to hand it to Jim Irsay, for being so freely spoken on twitter, any rumors of what the Colts will actually do here are few and far between.
25 Minnesota – LB Manti Te'o – Or maybe dumb luck might keep these clowns in their jobs another year.
26 Green Bay – OT Kyle Long – This is where folks start thinking someone will trade up for a QB but I think every team that might will sit tight.
27 Houston – WR Justin Hunter – The Texans swing and miss yet again trying to find another competent WR.
28 Denver – DE Tank Carradine – Why go by Cornellius when you can be called Tank?
29 New England – CB Xavier Rhodes – Some positions will slide as others have runs. So if you need a DB or RB this year, you're in luck.
30 Atlanta – TE Tyler Eifert – Best case scenario for any rookie TE is to have a year to learn from one of the best at that position ever. Dimitroff is obviously lying about trading up.
31 New Orleans (trade) – OT Menelik Watson – Whether trading up or down, I'm convinced the Saints are looking for an LT and the middle of the 1st round is not the place for that.
32 Baltimore – LB Alex Okafor – Somebody super smart is going to like Okafor more than the draft pundits do.
