Drew Rosenhaus, agent for Tulsa Roughnecks defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap, was a little worse for wear after an altercation at Roughnecks headquarters late Thursday afternoon.
Rosenhaus showed up unannounced at the office of General Manager Marcus Dupree. The two men were seen spilling into the hallway exchanging blows. One witness said Rosenhaus, "showed up spoiling for a fight. You could tell. He had been getting his mad on for hours."
The fight was broken up by Roughnecks Head Coach Homer Jones, Jr. Jones was heard shouting at Rosenhaus, "You don't get to whup his [expletive]. I'm the only one that gets to whup Dupree's [expletive]."
Rosenhaus was booked at Tulsa County Jail on assault charges and released on his own recognizance. In a press conference on the courthouse steps, near the jail, Rosenhaus attempted to explain his actions.
Referring to multiple media reports that Dupree has said Dunlap is "free with any purchase" as he has been shopping players during the DFFL draft, Rosenhaus said, "Never in my life have I had a client of mine so blatantly disrespected by management."
Rosenhaus added, "Carlos Dunlap is a good, hard-working kid and a great American. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment and as his agent I feel strongly that I must defend his honor." He then broke down sobbing and had to be helped away by his assistants.
Dunlap could not be reached for comment by press time.
