This thread is purely to allow discussion of ideas;
1) Obviously a big one, but given how QB heavy things are I'd like consideration of PPR for RBs as well.
2) Consider salary exemptions for genuine NFL IR cases (out for the rest of the season) placed onto DFFL IR slots. At the moment I've got $13 of my salary cap on IR in just 3 players.
3) I totally agree that there should be big penalties for getting contracts wrong and having to cut players. But there are some silly contracts, so my proposal would be for the "cap hit" to be something like 2 years' salary? So it's a big hit, but it'd make it possible for me to cut someone like James Harrison if (for some reason) he started only playing on special teams after this year. It's impossible to somehow find the $25 next season to cut him, but $10 would be a big enough hit to seriously discourage it in my opinion. Obviously the % could be adjusted, or even stepped depending on the salary level (i.e. max cost to cut a $3 contract is $8, max to cut any $5 contract is $12 etc).
4) I need to check, but given that we're using decimal scoring I think all points should be decimal - i.e. 0.1pt for 1 yard rushing. I lost a fantasy matche last year through guys having (for example) "79" rushing yards and "38" receiving yards but getting 10 points for it rather than 11.7 points, when the opposition had 70 yards rushing and 40 receiving (11 points). Same for pass completions/incompletions, and anythign else that can be divided down further.

1) RB and WR do get points for each reception. i believe it is 0.5 points, and QB get 0.1 points per completion. At least that was my intention when i set it up if it is not so it will be changed next season
2) This is something i feel very strongly about. whether the player is on IR or not he is still part of your team. You still have to pay him but he does not count against your active roster.
3) Buy out policies is definatley open for discussion. One thing i was thinking about the other day was keeping it the same but allowing each owner, if the so choose to, to buy out 1 players contract each yea with only paying 1 years salary. so at most it would be a $6 buyout. But the current rules would be intact still. This would only be allowed at the begining of the season so it would count for that entire season.

let us not get too hasty here we still need at least one more owner and very likely a second owner. Depending if Legion responds any time soon. and Destroyers continues to log on once a week.
I do think discusion is good but all owners should have a chance to participate. I also need to get together with Charles and discuss just what needs to be done to change the rules as they stand. I do not belive that the commishones should be able to just change rules withough league approval unless it is an emergancy or something that is obviously broken and needs to be fixed.
I expect some sort of league voting to happen But I would not know the form at this point.

All I mean to do here is to allow a free discussion of ideas so that everyone gets the chance to consider different things over a long term. I totally agree with the new rule post setting out the process for actually changing rules - at the end of each season then I think the commissioners alone should decide on what/if they want to change or put to vote.
For example, before a vote takes place the common pros and cons can be discussed to allow fully informed decisions.

What I'm getting at is that I'm certainly not proposing the above as rule changes, I just want to gague opinion on them and see how people feel. Something like a focus group in politics or something.

I understand an I think it is a good thing. I am not abjecting to the proposals, I would like to see all owners be able to participate though. We should know tday weather or not we need to replace legion. After that we can find two owners and start the process rapidly. I dod agree we should try to do out league tweaks quick before perle do other things in the other season.
