Published in Sports Illustrated Jan 18 Mike Holmgren, I think you did the right thing with Eric Mangini. No coach of a bright eyed team on a season-ending four-game winning streak, particularly in Cleveland, where there hadn't been a four game winning streak since 1994, deserves to be fired. He is still Eric Manstoopid in my opinion. I think it would have been in the Browns best intrest to fire him. He has brought contraversy despite the four game win streak. there is better talent out thier at HC. Remember thier last pres was a pres that Manstoopid wanted. Any thoughts.

My thoughts is that u have to give the coach a chance, he was there for one year.. That is not enough time for him to implement the type of players he wants for his team. I do agree that he is not a very good coach but that was the mistake they did when they first hired him. I say give him one more year...

I thought it was a horrible hire when Cleveland hired him, but they really have to ride it out a little bit once it's done. I believe they are still paying the previous coach, so if they fire Mangini... they'll actually stink while paying 3 head coaches... that would be hysterical.

My that is funny Glen.
I think it was a terrible hire and the quicker they can fix that mistake the better. For those of you counting I think Jim Zorn would be a better hire that Manstoopid. I am not so sure if Ritchie Kotite is a better coach. I will have to think more about that one... for the Browns sake I hope they are right. and I must admit Manstoopid did an alright job building a run game. The question is can he finish the job?
