my goal in this draft was to land 2-4 starters for my defense in the next 2 years

I graded the picks made a C
I liked you first pick of Graham. I'm not sold on Spikes and think he might end up in a situational role, so I couldn't have passed on Weatherspoon there. You had a nice draft that stayed in the high upside defensive positions. It's tough to give a high grade to a draft when a team doesn't really have a lot of needs. You're grade would have been higher from me if we were grading more then just the picks made, because I'd give you credit for trading your top picks for established players as part of your win now strategy.

Just by shee numbers your draft was impressive. You only addresses the defensive side of the ball though. I understand why sice you first pick was in the third round but there were some offensive players worth taking in the third round. Graham at 3.2 Haden at 3.9 and McCoy at 4.6 I really like they were some high impact guys that have good value. I am not a big DT fan in this league but he could be the exception to the rule. Mays intrigues me in round six. the fact you can watch him for a season before making a deciision on him is real nice.
I am giving you a C because of the lack of offense but the impact players you should have on defense makes it as high of a C possible.

Getting Graham to put on PS is very nice indeed. I'd consider this a low upside draft, but filling roster spots nicely.

Chad there were a few offensive guys I had my eye on (Tebow, McCluster,, Dez, and Ben Tate) I tried to move up to get Tate or Dez but was unsuccsesful. I figured Tebow or McCluster would be there at 3.2 when i traded back from 2.7 to 3.7. again I was wrong. When those 4 guys were gone i figured I have a pretty good offense I should try to get better on defense, so with my picks i figure i should hit on 2-4 of them making that side of the ball stronger.

I hear you Did I say I liked McCLuster too? problem is we are stuck grading on what happened not what we want unfortuantely. I do think you selected quality IDps it is more of how do you put a grade on it. Looking over the list with the quantity of picks round 3 or late I can not help but think grab a lot of upside played and hope a few of them will pan out. It kind of reminds me of what thePatriots do.
That is not a bad thing though just an observation. There can be many effective strategies in ff.
