Bob, you win the award for hardest draft for me to grade. I can see the thought process and you made some tough decisions. I was at a C+ or B-, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt and went with B.
- Like I've posted elsewhere, I was totally surprised you passed on Best. I know you hate late risers and struggled with three guys at that spot. You took the RB with that had the physical build to possibly be the main RB of his RBBC. I had the other two above Tate, but can understand if you had them ranked differently. - Golden Tate is good value where you got him. - I like the draft spot of Gerhart, but I'm not sure I'd want to pay him the $3 price tag if I wasn't the AP owner. So that's a tough pick for me to grade because I agree with where he went, but I don't really agree with the salary amount against the cap. - LaFell was the best WR on the board so I like that. - Then there's the Tebow pick. I saw him probably going in the 3d round so he could be on a PS, since even his supporters admit he's a 2-3 project if he makes it. I'm guessing you liked him a lot and agree he was going in the third, so you had to take him late second to make sure you got him. I just wouldn't want to carry him on my roster for the developmental time. I'm very interested to see how you hand out your contracts. I'm guessing that Tebow is going to end up with a short rookie contract length and then have to be released or extended without giving him the time he needs to develope. So my draft grade is going to be low because you're either going to have give Tebow a 1-2 year contract or give a more deserving player that will contribute more to your team a low year contract to give Tebow the 3-4 year contract. You did secure the rights to the guy you wanted and I guess you could just keep signing him to a 2 yr deal and then $1/1yr deals after that. With any luck he pans out.

In his defense, I very seriously considered Tebow at 2.9, so that was the time to take him. Intellectually I don't grasp how he will be successful in the NFL, but based on what I've seen I am done with betting against him. The reasons given for putting him on the PS are exactly why I passed on him there.

I gue this will be my rate my team for today... I hope to do one a day. I have to agree with Sean. I know I was talkingwith my wife who owned the 2.10 pick and I know hse was looking at Tebow there as well. As we talked again the reasons of the practice squad came up and in the end she decided to go in another direction. on to the ratings.
Ben Tate was maybe a tad high but a reasonable pick at 1.4 I can not omplain bout it. 1.11 was a very good spot for Golden Tate 2.2 would have been great but I am not sure he would have lasted there.
I also love the fact that both Tates were drafted by the same team... bonus points for that
I like Gerhart at 2,2 in dynasty teams I can see him going lae 1. Teebow is a slght reach end of 2 and Suh was a ggod pick in 4.
I graded this draft a B

I'm not saying that Tebow was a bad pick. Just that it would have been so much nicer to have him on the PS. If you like a guy, then you do what you have to do to get him so I understand that. I'm sure Bob figured that if he didn't take Tebow at that point... someone else was going to take him before his next pick.

Tim Tebow is a polarizing player when it comes to will he make it in the NFL everybody seems to have to put thier two cents in on the subject. I am not sure if he will make it or not. But I love underdogs and I am sure rooting for him.

I tried to trade down for 3.1 and 3.2 straight-up (actually I think I offered a throwin like 6th rounder as well for the 3.1) so that I could get TT on my practice squad, but neither team would take it. In the end I decided that with my precarious QB situaton I'd have to take the chance and keep him on my regular roster.
As I've mentioned elsewhere I felt Tate was a "safer bet" than Best due to size and style.
I'm not super-psyched on the rest of my draft, so I was a bit like Glen with C+/B- and went with B too. I think getting Suh to put on the PS is a nice bonus late in the 4th and at $1.

I gave you a B.
I was trying to get 1.4 from you so I could take Ben Tate. I think he has a chance to contend with Matthews for rookie of the year. Golden tate should push for time with 2 older veterans in front of him with Branch and Houszh. So he could be productive this year and could be starting no later than next season. Toby is good to have because ADP has had a lot of touches over the course of the last 3 seasons so Toby may get more touches than people think as the backup. Lafell may be the 4th wr, they say jerrette should get number 2 for now but they really like what Armani is doing in his transition from QB, and he could get the 3rd spot.
I was at 3.2 and didnt want to trade up because I wanted to put Tebow on my PS and thats where you went from an A to a B in my mind. But you got your guy regardless, and props to you for that.. But you got me back by getting Suh in front of me so I went with McCoy
