I am starting a new thread on this one because it involves the cutler trade but not the C child himself.
Denver just acquired 2 #1 and desperately need to upgrade defense.
Peppers wants out of Carolina for a 3-4 team.
Bingo! Denver will be a 3-4 J-Pep would be a perfect piece to revmp the defense while Cartolina does not have a first rounder. Denvers pick could come in very handy to reloading thier team for next year.

i bet they could trade the 18th pick and not theirs too. they have free'd up some cap room by mooving cutler i believe so they may be able to take on the $16 mil contract before they sign him to a long term deal

All I gotta say is I am happy that orton is going to the broncos since I have Orton in one of my pay leagues… his value goes way up. The broncos had the better O line and the wayyyyyyy better WR…. IF orton wins the starter job then he should excell big time.. I am also pissed being a Packer fan this makes Chicago a better team, they worked hard in the off season on there O line, they have a good RB, now they need maybe 1 WR…. Denver got the best of this deal… By a bit more then a long shot… I mean they have 2 decent 1st round picks this year where they can draft some defensive players who will make an immediate impact for them… Consider this a rebuilding year for them, next they get 2 1st rounder once again…. With the young WR they have, and a good O line … give this team 2 years to stack up that D and become a contender. I guess the QB position would be the question mark. Orton is prob the answer short term.

but we digress what are your thoughts on Peppers going to Denver for a first round pick? i think that if they move the 18th pick and a 3rd they may. or maybe a 4th instead of a 3rd. but again what is the broncos cap situation? im not sure that they are capable of making that trade

The broncos are in a good spot now…. I say… draft a 2 D players with your 12th and 18th picks…. Have a open compeition with Orton and simms…. Draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round……..D fense wins championships….
