If Holt and the Jags do finalize a deal does it affect the Jags at their number 8 overall pick? a lot of them have them taking either Crabtree or Macklin. I dont think it does. i think if they were planning on going with a wr there then they still will, if they were not planning on wr then they will stick with that. The Jags will prob grab a wr in the 2nd or 3rd round

I dont think it affects anything either. This offseason the Jags have let Matt Jones and Reggie Willams go to other pastures greener. They essentially have no starters. If they sign Toty Holt he will start one side but only for a year or two and then he will either be a FA or ill retire. So they will still need a WR starter this year and need a second one in a couple years. grabbing a top WR makes sense. I think the WR pick is compunded by a feeling that the top three OL will be drafted by the 6th pick. Jacksonville still has a large need at OL but after Smith Smith and Monroe are off the boards the elite OT are gone. NHow there is a chance they will take M Ohrer as he has been rising in stock recently and he was the top OT prospect accoring to the experts at the start of the NCAA season last year.
This is still dependant on either Maclan or Crabtree being available at 8 in the draft and while I think that will happen right now if a trade fore braylon Edwards happens. You very well could see Vrabtree to the Browns at 5 and Maclan to the Raiders at 7 (Although I would not be surprised to see the Raiders taking DHB because of his 40) if both of receivers are gone Ohrer becomes a real possiblity.

i think they wwould be more inclined to take BJ Raji than Oher. i hear they would perfer to trade back over anything/
But i think last year life with just Henderson isnt enough. They missed Stroud a lot last year and Raji fills that big hole.

What people forget is that it was not Greg Williams who assembled Stroud and Henderson but Mike White who is no longer with the Jags. While Raji is a possibility there I dont think it will happen.
