btw I see one team has added their rookies on the MFL site. Which is fine. Saves me a little work and gets folks sing that site. So feel free to pick up your rookies on the WW for both roster and 'taxi squad' there.

Mummies breaking ground in free agency. I like Mummies new strategy in free agency and I may be using it. Mummies apparently hoping that Tulsa defaults on the $1 bid on the RB's. I like this strategy. If that is your max price, then bid it. If Tulsa defaults on his bid, then you already have the $1 bid put in. This gives oyu a shot at the player still. If you didn't put on in the bid for the same amount, then someone else might get in for $1 and win the player for your max bid before you can put in your $1. Nice. No Im a dumby and was obviously tired and couldnt type when i want $2 bids.

Interesting. I hadn't thought about it that way. So maybe I should back off demanding my glorious co-commish raise his bids. But I'll tell you right now I have no plans to default on any bids. eta: In the interest of transparency, I deleted my replies on the BJGE and McGahee bids which had said a new bid has to be at least $1 higher than the previous one. I'll look at the precise wording of the rules but I do believe Hero's is correct this strategy is not against the rules. Hey guys to clarify for me, it doesn't look like the Free Agency rules allow an owner to default, seems to be spelled out clearly what happens if an owner doesn't sign his free agent in the 24 hour time frame. Am I missing something? dynastyffl.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=leaguerules&action=display&thread=13

The second question is the easier one. These bids are for roster only. You can't put any FAs on the PS until August 1st.
Not exactly sure where your first question lies. Does it help to point out that actively retracting a bid and passively defaulting on it are two different things?
Personally I hope I never have to rule on the application of a rule that comes right out and basically says. it's legal but please don't do it.

My 1st question comes from Hero's comment on Mummies strategy that turned out to be a mistake but as I was looking through the rules I did not see how an owner could default in such a way as another owner could match a bid and end up with the "defaulted" player. Does this rambling remind anybody else of Hairs? LOL Also I edited out my second question while you must have been answering it I did not see where we have to wait until Aug 1 to put players on the practice squad. As I read the practice squad singing info here dynastyffl.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=leaguerules&action=display&thread=11 I believed it covered practice squad signing in totality. I have just seen on the calender the practice squad signing designation.... hadn't noted the designation of practice squad there before. My bad.
