Q: Where do I resign rookies?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A: To sign your rookie all you need to do it edit your roster list to reflect the contract you wish to sign him to.
For Example: I want to sign Joe Rookie($2 contract) to a three year contract on my roster
I would list him with the following ... Joe Rookie $2 3/3 (position and team played for is optional)
players you wish to sign to the practice squad you can just make a post in your roster that you sign him to your practice squad and then edit you practice squad accordingly.

Q: can I release a rookie I drafted early?:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A: No, rookie signing does not lock until midnight until then you may change your mind and choose to tender him a contract or possibly get a late trade offer for the player in question. This will leave all options open to you until midnight.
You can state that you intend to release a player. Then when midnight arrives the release locks in.

Q: I am not going to be online when a (rookie) FA becomes available to bid on can I place a bid in advance and say it goes into effect one minuite after bidding becomes available?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A: No, this practice can cause too many problems what if multiple people say they place a bid for the same time. What if someone then makes a bid exactly at opening for more than what a previouly posted bids were going to be for. ect. ect.

Question about the free agency bidding tmie.
Since we have one member that is about 5 hours ahead of most of us and another member that I believe is 6 hours behind the majority of us.... wouldn't the fairest thing be to have everything lock at midnight eastern standard time, but then allow bidding to start some time like 2pm EST the following day which would be 7pm Claymores time and and 8am Assassins time. The midnight EST thing does put Claymores at a significant disadvantage.
This could be something we could possibly vote on to change so it's a little more fair for everyone. It is a fun league after all.

I hadn't really thought of it before, but that'd be fine with me. Also would make it a bit easier for workers to avoid staying up so late on the east coast.

Resigning players Are we allowed to resign players early? If I have a player that has $1 2/2 for 2010. At the player resigning period they would be $1 1/2 for 2011. Could I give them one of my contract for that year as an extension? If I gave that player a $4 5 year contract for 2011... they would be $5 6/6 or $5 5/5 (depending if we are forced to tear up the last year of a contract or give the extension on top of the exsisting). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A: the following rules states dynastyffl.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=leaguerules&action=display&thread=8"When a contract expires you may resign a player." so no you can not extend a players contract. The resoning behind this is that after a couple of years there will be more than scrubs hitting the free agent market for player to bid on. This will (hopefully) allow teams to rebuild and turn thier teams around quicky.

I was hoping to make better use of the few contracts that are available to resign a player. If I only have 2 players to resign this year, then I'd be better off extending a guy who's contract expires next year when I might have more guys I want to resign.

Q: Can I suspend a player who is holding out but has not been suspended by his team?
Clearly I lead the league in suspended players.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A: Unfortunately no. The suspended list is for suspended players only not hold outs.
